Mavericks Announce First-Ever Television Partnership

INDEPENDENCE, MISSOURI - The Missouri Mavericks are teaming up with Kansas City's KSMO-TV (an affiliate of KCTV 5) for live broadcasts of four Mavericks home hockey games: February 19th, March 4th and 11th, and April 1st. The deal includes the potential for playoff broadcasts, as well.

"Friday Night Ice!" will represent the best of professional hockey in Kansas City, with top-rated broadcasters and analysis, an inside look at Mavericks players and the league, as well as showcase select partners who support the team.

"As part of our continuing efforts to extend the Mavericks brand across the city, we are excited to now embark on a broadcast relationship. We hope to showcase the thrill of Mavericks games, while simultaneously developing new fans," says Mavericks General Manager, Brent Thiessen.

"KSMO and KCTV 5 are pleased to be bringing Missouri Mavericks games to our broad television audience. As the sport of hockey grows in popularity in Kansas City, our stations are uniquely poised at the forefront," says KCTV5 and KSMO TV General Manager, Mike Cukyne.
