Wes Cunningham and Braden Christoffer Join Admirals Roster

Norfolk, VA - The Norfolk Admirals announce today that Wes Cunningham has been acquired in a trade with the Missouri Mavericks and Braden Christoffer has been assigned to Norfolk from Bakersfield.
Cunningham, 28, stands at 5-foot-11, weighing 185-pounds out of Dresden, ONT. He has played in three tiers of professional hockey in his career- OHL, ECHL, and AHL- dressing in one game for the Norfolk Admirals during the 2008-2009 season. He comes to Norfolk from the Missouri Mavericks of the ECHL where he appeared in 10 games tallying 1 goal and 2 assists. During his 43 games played in five separate playoff appearances in the ECHL, Cunningham posted 17 points with 1 goal and 16 assists.
Christoffer, 21, has been assigned to Norfolk from the Bakersfield Condors of the AHL where he accumulated 1 goal and 3 assists during 30 games played. The 5-foot-10, 190-pounder is a product of Sherwood Park, ALTA and made his professional hockey debut with the Sherwood Park Crusaders of the AJHL in 2011; after which, he spent 3 seasons with the Regina Pats of the WHL before making his AHL debut with Bakersfield this season.
With a 9-4 record since the New Year, the Admirals look to continue their recent success Friday and Saturday against the Thunder in Adirondack. The road contests can be heard on 1650 AM WHKT or seen live on ECHL.TV.
The Admirals return home on Friday, February 12 with a 7:30 p.m. game against the Reading Royals. Ten-packs are available for purchase at the Admirals' Administrative Office inside Scope Arena.
