Marlies Set for Friday Night Tilt in Providence
February 15, 2019 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Toronto Marlies News Release
The Marlies (25-17-5-3) are back in action tonight and looking to snap a two-game losing skid when they visit the Providence Bruins (26-17-6-1).
Sitting in third place in the Atlantic Division and sixth place in the Eastern Conference, the Bruins have been on a roll lately with eight wins in their previous 10 games. They're fresh off a 4-0 win over the Syracuse Crunch and have won four of their last five. These two teams have only met once so far this season, and it was not a good outing for the Marlies as they dropped a 5-0 decision to the Bruins on home ice. They'll be looking to rebound tonight and get back in the win column.
Players to watch: With four points in his last four games, Jeremy Bracco sits second in team scoring with 49 points and continues to lead the AHL in assists with 35. Calle Rosen is tied for second amongst AHL defencemen in points (38). Rosen has 12 points (two goals, 10 assists) in his last 11 games. Paul Carey leads the Bruins with 36 points (10 goals, 26 assists). He's registered nine points in his past nine games including a hat-trick back on January 21.
Puck drops at 7:05 PM on AHLTV.
