Dallas Stars Recall Center Joel L'Esperance

February 15, 2019 - American Hockey League (AHL) - Texas Stars News Release

FRISCO, Texas - Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has recalled center Joel L'Esperance from the Texas Stars.

L'Esperance, 23, leads the AHL with 27 goals and is tied for second in the League with 11 power play goals so far in 2018-19. The center also leads Texas and ranks second among all AHL rookies with 42 points (27-15=42) in 49 games this season, while he paces League rookies and is tied for fifth among all AHL skaters with a team-leading five game-winning goals.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound native of Brighton, Mich. was originally undrafted and signed with Dallas as a free agent on July 1, 2018.

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars, and return home to battle the Tucson Roadrunners at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday (Feb. 15 & 16) at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
