Last Game
Ryan Van Stralen scored twice as the host Wichita Thunder defeated the Mallards 4-1 Wednesday night.
You Again
Tonight's game is the first of two in as many nights between the Mallards and Walleye in Toledo and the first of four straight overall for the Mallards against the same foe. The Walleye will visit the TaxSlayer Center next Wednesday and next Friday.
Hit the Road
The Mallards tonight play the second of three road games this week.

The Mallards have lost their last three games and seven of their last eight.

With Wednesday's defeat the Mallards have now suffered 35 regulation losses in a season for the first time since going 29-35-12 over 76 games in 2009-10 in their lone International Hockey League campaign.

The Mallards' elimination number is nine- any combination of available standings points the Mallards fail to earn or points the holder of the fourth and final playoff spot in the Central Division- currently the Kansas City Mavericks- does collect totaling nine will result in the Mallards' elimination from playoff contention.

Matt Pohlkamp scored the lone Mallard goal Wednesday and has now scored in each of his last two games, recorded points in four straight games (3-2-5) and totaled seven points (four goals and three assists) in his last six games.
Magnificent Magyar
Gergo Nagy has totaled 12 points (five goals and seven assists) in his last 11 games.
Helping Hand
Willie Raskob picked up his thirtieth assist Wednesday and now ranks fourth among ECHL rookies and fifth among defensemen in assists.
First
Nick Bligh picked up an assist Wednesday while making his Mallard debut against his former team the day after he was traded to the Mallards by the Thunder.
Lowdown
Brayden Low, who was traded by the Mallards to Wichita Tuesday in the deal that sent Bligh in the opposite direction, picked up an assist against his former club while making his Thunder debut Wednesday.
Debuts
Huba Sekesi made his professional debut Wednesday while, like Bligh, Quentin Shore made his Mallard debut Wednesday.
Between the Pipes
Eric Hartzell made 38 saves while suffering the loss in goal Wednesday.
Special Teams
The Mallards both scored and allowed one power play goal Wednesday. They went 1-for-5 on the man advantage while the Thunder went 1-for-3. The Mallards rank fifteenth in the ECHL on the power play (16.9 percent) and twenty-sixth in penalty killing (77.1 percent).
Head to Head
The Mallards improved to 1-2-0 against Toledo this season by winning the last meeting between the two clubs 4-3 on home ice on February 18. The Mallards dropped their lone prior visit to Toledo 3-0 on October 21. Their four head-to-head clashes over the next eight days will conclude the season series between the Mallards and Walleye. All-time, the Mallards have gone 2-3-1 against the Walleye overall and 0-2-1 at the Huntington Center.
