Augusta Lynx News Release
Week In Review
Tuesday, November 21 Augusta 1 vs. Columbia 5
Five different players recorded a goal and an assist for the Inferno as they skated past the Lynx on Tuesday night. Sean Blanchard scored the lone goal for the Lynx in the loss.
Friday, November 24 Augusta 4 @ Pensacola 3 (SO)
Aaron Slattengren scored his first goal in a Lynx uniform plus potted the shootout winner as Augusta beat Pensacola 4-3 in a shootout. Joe Cardarelli and Jason Kostadine also scored first period goals while Nathan Marsters made 40 saves and stopped all five shooters past regulation to record the win.
Saturday, November 25 Augusta 3 @ Pensacola 2
Avoiding the previous night's drama of a shootout, Myles Zimmer's first professional goal combined with tallies from Cardarelli and Shane Hynes in a 3-2 win over Pensacola Saturday. Zimmer's goal at 7:38 of the third period proved to be the game winner for the Lynx, who are now 9-4-0 on the road this season. Brett Jaeger made 35 saves in the winning effort for Augusta.
Sunday, November 26 Augusta 2 vs. Texas 5
Jason Kostadine recorded a point in his third straight game while Shane Hynes scored in back-to-back contests in a 5-2 loss to Texas.
