Lynx return to ice tonight
December 10, 2004 - ECHL (ECHL)
Augusta Lynx News Release
The Augusta Lynx are back at action at home for back-to-back games this weekend, beginning tonight, Friday Dec. 10, against the Pee Dee Pride. Faceoff is 7:35 p.m.
Augusta looks to bounce back from an embarassing 3-0 loss at home Tuesday night to the Louisiana IceGators, which was followed by coach Stan Drulia sending a message to the team with a post-game skate. Drulia said he believes the message was received and hopes Tuesday night can be a turning point for the Lynx this season.
The good news is the Lynx are only three points out of a playoff spot in the American Conference entering the weekend, with plenty of hockey to play.
Friday night's game features a surprise giveaway for our loyal Season Ticket Holders who continue to stand behind the team through thick and thin. Season Tiket Holders can pick up a set of three Lynx hockey cards in the Lynx Den both before the game or during the first or second intermissions. Season Ticket Holders also can claim a special coupon for a free 8x10 portrait from our friends at Sears Portrait Studio.
Also, The Lynx Den (exhibition hall) is a great place for a great pregame meal, discount adult beverages ($1 Off Beer and Mixed Drinks) and the All-New Augusta Lynx Kid Zone, featuring free moonwalks and more.
Tonight's Lynx Den meal is:
Pork Chops, stuffing and green bean casserole, and includes unlimited iced tea, Starbucks coffee, water, dinner rolls and dessert. Centerplate Catering has something for the kids too -- a special Pizza and a Coke Kids Meal.
Season Ticket Holders: $7
Non Season Ticket Holders: $9
Kids Meal: $4
The Lynx Den will be open beginning at 6:05 p.m. at the special entrance in the parking lot facing the railroad tracks.
Don't forget Saturday's game at home against the Charlotte Checkers, featuring a Teddy Bear Toss to benefit Toys for Tots. Bring a teddy bear to the game and throw it on the ice when the Lynx score their first goal. The Lynx will give you a coupon for a free ticket to a future game if you bring a bear! You can pick up the coupon as you come through the doors of the Civic Center on Saturday.
And Season Ticket Holders, don't forget to download your official Lynx Media Notes for tonight's game at www.augustalynx.com. They are now available online in the STH/SPONSOR ZONE.
