Titans Use Four Goals In Second to Edge Storm, 4-3

TOLEDO, OH - The Trenton Titans scored a season-high, four goals in the second period en route to a 4-3 over the Toledo Storm in front of 2,813 at Toledo Sports Arena.

Sam Paolini started the scoring with his fifth goal of the season when Shawn Collymore found him all alone at the far post at 3:58 of the first period. From there it was all Trenton Titans.

Steve Cygan tied the score for the Titans with his second goal of the season 3:12 into the second period. Trenton would take a 2-1 lead just 2:05 later when Mathieu Brunelle converted a break away chance past Logan Koopmans.

The Titans' power play would do the work for the rest of the period with Bryce Cockburn and Matt Zultek each tallying with the man advantage. Trenton's power play was 2-for-4 on the evening and has scored in their last four games.

In the final period, Tyler Knight also lit the lamp on the power play and Sam Paolini tallied with the extra attacker to make the final score 4-3.

Andrew Allen stopped 26 shots to raise record to 6-2-1 and 4-1-0 on the road. Koopmans turned away 24 in suffering the loss. B.J. Abel recorded two assists to extend his scoring streak to six games.
