Lugnuts Pitcher Ravel Promoted, Jimenez Activated

LANSING, Mich. - In conjunction with the Toronto Blue Jays, Lansing Lugnuts pitch er Andy Ravel has been promoted to A-Advanced Dunedin and pitcher Emerson Jimenez has been activated from the 7-day Disabled List .
Ravel, 23, had appeared in 13 games out of the Nuts' bullpen to the tune of a 3.80 ERA, allowing 10 runs, nine earned, in 21 1/3 innings, walking seven and striking out 16 . He joins notables Kacy Clemens, Ty Tice, Kevin Smith, Yennsy Diaz and Zach Logue as 2018 Lugnuts promoted to Dunedin.
Jimenez, 23, had been signed at age 16 as a shortstop in 2011 by the Colorado Rockies, playing six season in the Rockies' organization before receiving his release on May 25, 2017. He was signed by the Blue Jays on June 23, 2017, and converted to pitching - responding by dominating the Gulf Coast League in nine appearances at the end of the year (15.0 innings, 6 hits, 0 runs, 5 walks, 23 strikeouts).
The official Lugnuts roster is attached, with 25 active players and seven players on the Disabled List.
