LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Long Beach Ice Dogs of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the Boston Bruins, will host the 12th Annual Police & Fire Night on Saturday, February 24th when the Ice Dogs host the Alaska Aces at 7pm at the Long Beach Arena. Officer Wade and Officer Yap, who were both injured in the line of duty in December, will be on hand and drop the game's first puck.

The Ice Dogs return to the Long Beach Arena after their longest road trip of the season (6-3-0-0) on "Homecoming Night" this Friday, February 23rd for a 7:30pm face off vs. the Alaska Aces. The first 1,000 fans will receive a free Ice Dogs' pom pom! Doors open at 6:00pm with homecoming performances by local cheerleading squads and bands. $2 beers will be served from 6-7:30pm and $2 hot dogs will be available all night. Skip "The Balloon Man" Banks will be performing during intermissions and one lucky fan will crowned the 2007 Ice Dogs Homecoming Queen. The 4-Goal Golden Sombrero Giveaway Jackpot will be up to $25,000 with the Hat Trick Jackpot at $1,700.

The home stand continues on Saturday, February 24th vs. Alaska at 7pm as the Ice Dogs host the 12th Annual Police & Fire Night. The first 2000 fans will receive an Ice Dogs Police and Fire Night Cap. Before the game, the Ice Dogs will make a special check presentation for money raised to benefit the Long Beach Police Officer's Association Widow and Orphan Fund which is currently assisting Officer Wade and Officer Yap and their families. Officer Wade and Officer Yap will be present to drop the game's first puck. Come see special performances by the LBPD Swat Team and LAFD fire dogs! Check out the $100 PUSH UP Challenge with Joe "The Real Deal" Charles, aka GI Joe. Intermission activities will include a LBPD vs. LBFD Tug-a-war and LBPD vs. LBFD Sumo Wrestling. Be sure to stay after the game to watch the Guns and Hoses Hockey Game featuring the LBPD vs. LBFD!

Sunday, February 25th is Mascot Day in Long Beach, as declared by Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster. The Ice Dogs will be facing off against the Fresno Falcons at 5:00pm and several of your favorite team mascots will be in attendance for Mascot Olympics. The first 1,000 fans that evening will also be receiving special Ice Dogs Autograph Books, as there will be a team autograph session with the Ice Dogs players immediately following Sunday's game.
