Reading Royals News Release

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced that right wing Greg Hogeboom ("HOE geh boom") has been re-assigned by the Kings to the Monarchs.

Hogeboom (6'0"/204 lbs.) (24), a third year pro from Etobicoke, Ontario, leads the Royals in virtually every offensive category, including goals (29), assists (39) and plus/minus (+18) in 51 games. Hogeboom's 68 points places him third in the league scoring race, and he is tied for the league lead in shots on goal with 226. Hogeboom, a two-time ECHL All-Star selection, has had at least a point in 42 of his 51 games with Reading this year-and 58 of the 70 games he's played with the Royals over the past two seasons (38g - 56a = 95pts). Hogeboom, who established a new team record this year with his seven short-handed goals (tied for league lead), picked up at least one point fourteen consecutive games from January 14 through February 18, 2007, which is the team season high. That point streak included Hogeboom's first hattrick as a pro in the Royals' 5-4 loss to the Trenton Titans on January 28. Hogeboom has had eighteen multi-point games for the Royals this year, and in seven of those games he racked up three or more points. This marks the second trip this season for Hogeboom to Manchester, where he picked up an assist in three games during mid-November. Last year with the Monarchs, Hogeboom scored nine goals and assisted on ten others in 42 AHL games.

The Royals continue a six game home stand tonight (7:05 pm) against the Dayton Bombers, when the first 1500 fans will receive a Chris Bala figurine. Royals' game night broadcasts can be heard live on ESPN Radio 1240 am (and on the internet through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com), beginning thirty minutes before the opening face-off. Streaming video is also available for $6.00 per game through the B2 Networks, which can be accessed through the Royals' website.
