Pensacola Ice Pilots News Release
PENSACOLA, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots hope three is a magic number for them tonight (Friday) when they host the Columbia Inferno at 7:05 pm at The Hangar.
A victory tonight would be the third in a row for the Ice Pilots and close out the home stand with a perfect mark. The Ice Pilots fired seven goals for a second straight game in a 7-1 romp over the Columbia Inferno on Thursday night.
John Hecimovic continues his outstanding play with two goals and one assist to extend his points streak to 11 in five games. Rob Rankin added his eighth assist in his last eight games.
Goaltender Michael Mole won his 11th and lowered his goals against average to 3.98 and a save percentage to .900.
The Ice Pilots are now three games below .500 at home and just two wins away from equaling the Inferno mark of 19.
The first 1,500 fans through the doors will receive the second in a series of Ice Pilots' posters courtesy of Dlux Printing. Fans are also asked to bring new baby diapers to the game and drop them off when they enter The Hangar in support of Families Count.
All of the action tonight can be heard on the official flagship station of the Ice Pilots, Classic Country AM1620 and www.icepilots.com powered by sportsjuice beginning with the pre-game show at 6:45 pm. The play by play with Denis J. Puska follows at 7 pm. Video coverage tonight is provided by the B2 Networks and a high speed internet connection is required in order to view the game.
Tickets available at the Pensacola Civic Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations. For further information on the Ice Pilots, including group rates call 432-PUCK.
After tonight's game, the Pensacola Ice Pilots will hit the road for a pair of games starting Sunday against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 4 pm eastern, 3 pm central. The road trip concludes on Tuesday when the Ice Pilots meet the Inferno at 7:05 eastern, 6:05 central.
It's back to The Hangar for the Ice Pilots next weekend with a pair of games against the South Carolina Stingrays. The two clubs face off Saturday at 7:05 pm and Sunday at 6:05 pm.
