
Lightning Reassign James Wright to Admirals

TAMPA BAY, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Lightning, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have reassigned forward James Wright to the Admirals, Lightning Vice President and General Manager Steve Yzerman announced today.
Wright, 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, was recalled to the Lightning yesterday. He logged 4:36 of ice time in Tampa Bay's 8-7 win against Philadelphia last night, landing one hit. It was his first NHL action of the season. In 49 career NHL games - all with the Lightning - Wright has two goals and five points.
Wright has appeared in each of Norfolk's first 15 games of 2010-11, recording four goals and 12 points with eight penalty minutes. He is tied for fifth in scoring and tied for fourth in goals on the Admirals.
The second-year pro split last season between the Lightning and the WHL's Vancouver Giants. He appeared in 48 games for Tampa Bay in his pro rookie campaign, recording two goals and five points. After he was reassigned to the Giants, Wright scored six goals and 19 points in 21 regular season games before notching seven goals and 16 points in 16 playoff games. He was drafted by the Lightning in the fourth round, 117th overall, of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
The Admirals will conclude their five-game road trip tonight in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, with a 7:05 p.m. puck drop against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Follow all of the action on 102.1-FM, 1490-AM, 1021TheGame.com and AHLLive.com.
