
Falcons Host Pack Tonight

The Springfield Falcons and Hartford Wolf Pack meet for the third time this season in what has been a very competitive season series thus far. The Falcons are 3-0 against Hartford this season with all three contests being decided by one goal and two of the contests being decided in either overtime or a shootout.
The most recent meeting occurred on November 13 with the Falcons winning that contest 4-3 in a shootout. Former Hartford captain Dane Byers scored the shootout clinching goal for the Falcons. Mike Blunden tied the game late in regulation for Springfield while Matt Calvert and Maksim Mayorov also scored for the Falcons.
Mike Blunden (2g,2a) and John Moore (1g,3a) lead the Falcons in scoring against Hartford this year. Falcons goaltender David LeNeveu is 3-0 with a 1.91 goals against average and .933 save percentage against Hartford this season. Jeremy Williams leads Hartford in scoring against Springfield this year with two goals and one assist for three points. Kris Newbury is tied with Williams for the team lead in scoring against the Falcons with one goal and two assists.
NEW ADDITION: The Falcons also announced Thursday they have signed forward Jay Pandolfo to a Professional Tryout Agreement. Pandolfo is entering his 15th professional season after spending the previous 14 campaigns within the New Jersey Devils organization. The Burlington, MA native has played in a total of 819 career National Hockey League games, all with the Devils, and he has also appeared in 131 career playoff games in the NHL. Pandolfo was a member of both the 2000 and 2003 New Jersey Devils Stanley Cup winning teams.
FALCONS PLAYER STREAKS
Matt Calvert is currently on a six-game scoring streak having collected six goals and two assists in that span. Calvert has scored a goal in three straight games entering Friday's contest.
Rookie defenseman John Moore is on a three-game scoring streak having collected four assists in that span. Moore has picked up a point in seven of his last eight games collecting one goal and eight assists in that span as he now leads all Springfield defensemen in scoring.
Falcons captain Ben Guite has goals in back-to-back games entering Friday and overall he has three goals and three assists in his last four games.
Tomas Kubalik collected two goals and two assists in the Falcons' 4-3 win over Bridgeport on Tuesday night. Kubalik has picked up at least a point in five of his last seven games collecting three goals and five assists for eight points in that span.
WOLF PACK PLAYER STREAKS
Brodie Dupont is on a two-game scoring streak and overall he has points in four of his last six games totaling one goal and three assists in that span.
Kris Newbury has points in two straight games collecting four assists in that stretch.
Jeremy Williams has recorded back-to-back two-goal games and he now has six goals and one assist for seven points in his last four games played. Williams has scored two goals in a game in three of his last four contests.
