The BEARS fought back from a two-goal deficit Friday night, but ultimately succumbed to the Binghamton Senators 4-2 at Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.

Craig Schira opened the scoring Friday, with a right circle shot that beat BEARS goaltender Dany Sabourin into the top right corner of the net. Schira's goal came just 3:30 into the game from Andre Benoit and Mike Hoffman, and the Senators took a 1-0 lead. Midway through the first, Erik Condra scored his fifth of the season on a rebound try in front of Sabourin at 12:26. HERSHEY came off the mat to make the score 2-1 less than two minutes later at 14:32 when Boyd Kane scored his seventh of the season. The goal came on the power play from Dmitri Kugryshev and Jay Beagle, as Kugryshev supplied Kane with the pass in the slot. Binghamton led 2-1 after one.

Andrew Joudrey scored what proved to be the only goal of the second period, a slot shot between the circles that slipped through the legs of Binghamton goalie Barry Brust. The goal at 17:21 of the second tied the score, setting the stage for the third period. Early in the final frame, Bobby Butler scored short side for his 14th goal of the season. The goal at 4:48 made the score 3-2 Senators, and Roman Wick would provide an empty-net goal at 19:20 to round out the scoring. HERSHEY fired 20 third period shots at Brust, but could not score.
