Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
In a battle of the top two teams in the North, the first-place IronPigs (35-27) play a doubleheader against the Buffalo Bisons (30-25)... With a 9-4 loss last night, the Pigs snapped a streak of 10 consecutive victories over the Bisons at Coca-Cola Park dating back to the start of the 2017 season. Still, the Pigs have won six of their last eight contests and hold a 1.5-game lead over Buffalo in the standings. After starting the season 8-10, Lehigh Valley is 27-17 since April 27... The Bisons -- Toronto's top affiliate -- have won three-straight contests to improve to 4-3 on their season-long, 10-game road trip. After starting 12-16, the Bisons are 18-9 since May 16... The Pigs swept the first meeting in Allentown (3-0) from May 10-12.
In Game 1, RHP Enyel De Los Santos (6-3, 1.63) starts for LHV against RHP Nick Tepesch (0-0, 0.00).
In Game 2, RHP Tom Eshelman (1-5, 7.06) starts for LHV against RHP Luis Santos (2-0, 2.08).
Tonight is J.P. Crawford "Grand Slide" Bobblehead Night, presented by Coordinated Health. First-pitch of Game 1 is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
