
Leading Goal Scorer Johnson, Labelle Return From AHL

Anchorage, Alaska - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Christie announced today that rookie forwards Keith Johnson and Olivier Labelle have returned to the team from their AHL affiliate in Bridgeport. The team also announced that forward Trevor Smith has been recalled to Bridgeport.
The Grizzlies are the proud ECHL affiliate of the Sound Tigers and the NHL's New York Islanders.
Johnson, who played in three games with the Sound Tigers after being recalled December 18, returns to Utah the team's leading goal scorer with 14 goals and 8 assists in 24 games. He tied an all-time Utah high November 24 with five points in a game - when he tallied three goals and two assists in an 8-3 win versus Stockton.
Labelle was recalled on December 14. He has appeared in six games this year with Bridgeport in two separate stints. In 16 games with Utah, Labelle has scored five goals, nine assists and registered a plus-eight.
The Grizzlies return to action Friday in Alaska. Face-off is scheduled for 9:15 p.m. Utah returns home Friday, January 11 hosting Idaho at the E-Center at 7:05 p.m.
