Komets Host IceMen Tonight
January 7, 2011 - Central Hockey League (CHL) - Fort Wayne Komets News Release
Fort Wayne, IN -- The Komets will begin a weekend of three games in three nights beginning with an 8pm faceoff tonight against the visiting Evansville IceMen at the Memorial Coliseum.
Saturday the Komets travel to Dayton and face the Gems at Hara Arena at 7:30pm. Sunday the Komets return home for the first of six Sunday matinees this season and host the Quad City Mallards at 5pm.
The Komets have added defenseman Dustin Molle to the lineup. Molle, 25, started this season appearing in 16 games with Idaho of the ECHL where he registered a goal and two points. The Anchorage, Alaska native completed four seasons of CCHL play with the University of Alaska last year. Molle has been practicing this week with the Komets and is expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Komets tangle with Evansville at 8pm.
The Komets also announced Friday that defenseman Brandon Warner has been placed on 30-day injured reserve. Also, forward Olivier Legault has been placed on 10-day injured reserve. Continuing on I.R. this weekend are center Leo Thomas (10-day) and right wing Kaleigh Schrock (10-day).
