
Brahmas Sign Rugged Forward

The Texas Brahmas today signed 32 year old forward Mike Sgroi to a contract. Sgroi joins the Brahmas after having played nine games with the Colorado Eagles earlier this season.
The 2010-2011 is Scroi ¬â¢s 12th professional season having played in the ECHL, AHL, and UHL in addition to the CHL. The 6 ¬â¢4 230 pound forward hails from Toronto. His best pro season came in 2007-2008 splitting time with Pensacola and Johnstown playing 53 games with 25 goals, 22 assists, and 257 PIM ¬â¢s.
Sgroi is expected to be in the lineup for the Brahmas two home games versus Odessa tonight and tomorrow night at the NYTEX Sports Centre. Both games begin at 7:30 PM. Tonight is Car Flag Night with the first 1000 fans receiving a free car flag.
The Brahmas also are announcing a schedule change. The game originally scheduled at Bossier-Shreveport for Thursday, February 10th has been moved to Tuesday, January 25th at 6:35 PM at the Century Tel Center.
