
Mavericks' Robby Nolan Named CHL Goaltender of the Month

INDEPENDENCE, Missouri ¬" The Central Hockey League announced Friday Missouri Mavericks' goaltender Robby Nolan has been named the Sher-Wood Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Month for December 2010. Nolan will receive a Sher-Wood/CHL logoed watch courtesy of Sher-Wood and the Central Hockey League to recognize his accomplishment.
Nolan finished the month with an 8-3-0 mark with two shutouts. He allowed two goals or fewer in eight of his 11 appearances and allowed just one goal four times to go with his pair of shutouts. Overall, the second-year pro turned aside 252 of 272 shots reflecting a .926 save percentage.
On the season, the Sherwood Park, Alberta native is 12-5-2 ranking first in the league with a 2.08 goals against average and a .920 save percentage and recently the 5-10, 190-pound netminder was named to the CHL All-Star Team.
Other players receiving consideration for the monthly award for November include Allen's Scott Campbell, Arizona's Levente Szuper, Bloomington's Marco Emond, Mississippi's Alexander Pechurskiy, Odessa's Joel Martin, Quad City's Adam Russo, Texas' Jeff Harvey, Tulsa's I an Keserich and Wichita's Marc-Antonie Gelinas.
