The Killer Bees scored the first goal of the game less than three minutes into the game. Brett Wilson chipped a puck towards the front of the net from behind the goal line and Tomas Klempa picked up the loose puck and beat Arizona goal Doug Groenestege.

The Killer Bees would score the first goal of the third period but Arizona would rally for three-straight to seal the victory. Nick Sucharksi got the Bees on the board at 5:19 with assists to Aaron Lewicki and Dan Gendur.
Arizona would rally from down one and over the next four minutes would put three past Juliano Pagliero. Tyler Butler, Jason Williams, and Kyle Hood all scored for the Sundogs. Pagliero finished the evening making 37 saves on 42 shots. Groenestege made 26 saves on the 29 shots he faced. The goals were scored at 15:03, 16:01 and 18:44 of the third.
