On-Ice Officials Selected for 2011 CHL All-Star Game

January 7, 2011 - Central Hockey League (CHL) News Release


TEMPE, AZ (January 7, 2011) -The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today the three men that will be working the 2011 CHL All-Star Game as on-ice officials. The referee for the game will be Jon McIsaac and the linesmen will be John Grandt and Bill McGoldrick. It will be the first CHL All-Star Game for each of the three officials.

The 2011 CHL All-Star Game will be played on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Arena in Rapid City, South Dakota (face-off is set for 6:35 PM MST). The game's format will feature the host Rapid City Rush (the defending CHL Champions) taking on a team of CHL All-Stars.

McIsaac is in his third season in the CHL after working in the QMJHL for six years. The Truro, Nova Scotia native worked in the CHL Finals last season and has had numerous opportunities at a championship level working many different Canadian and International Championship games.

Grandt is in his second season in the CHL and last year, as a rookie, worked all the way into the Finals. Before coming to the CHL, the Denver native spent two years working in the USA Hockey Junior Development Program getting assigned to games in the USHL, NAHL, IHL and SPHL.

McGoldrick followed a similar path to that of Grandt learning in the USA Hockey Junior Development Program and also worked one season at the university level doing Division 1 games for the Atlantic Hockey League. The Merrimac, Massachusetts native played four years of hockey at Framingham State College in Framingham, Massachusetts.
