Kolanos reassigned to San Antonio
December 19, 2005 - American Hockey League (AHL) - San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO (Dec. 19, 2005) - The San Antonio Rampage announced today that their parent club, the Phoenix Coyotes, have reassigned center Krystofer Kolanos to the American Hockey League team. The move comes immediately after the Coyotes claimed Kolanos off waivers from the Edmonton Oilers.
Kolanos rejoins the Coyotes organization after leaving on Nov. 11 when he was claimed off waivers by Edmonton. In six games with the Oilers this season, he collected no points and two penalty minutes (PIM). He had previously played in nine games with the Coyotes this season, registering 2-1-3 and 2 PIM.
The 24-year-old forward has played in 115 games throughout his four-year NHL career with Phoenix and Edmonton, totaling 17-18-35 and 76 PIM. Of his 115 NHL games, 109 of them have been played as a Coyote. Kolanos collected 21 points (10 goals and 11 assists) and 38 PIM in 32 career AHL games with the Springfield Falcons during the 2003-04 season.
The Calgary, Alberta native was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the first round (19th overall) of the 2000 Entry Draft.
Kolanos will make his Rampage debut when they return to the SBC Center Thursday night to take on the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights at 7 p.m. All games can be viewed through B2 Networks' live video web cast for $6 to anyone with a high-speed internet connection, through a link at www.sarampage.com.
