Candiens Reassign Urquhart to Long Beach

December 19, 2005 - American Hockey League (AHL) - Hamilton Bulldogs News Release


The Montreal Canadiens have reassigned forward Cory Urquhart to the Long Beach Ice Dogs (ECHL).

Urquhart, 21, joined the Bulldogs on December 10 and played in two games for Hamilton, posting one assist and two penalty minutes. The 6'3, 205 pound center has played in 22 games for the Ice Dogs this season, recording 12 points (five goals, seven assists) and 10 penalty minutes. The native of Halifax, Nova Scotia skated in one game for the Bulldogs during the 2004-05 season, going scoreless. In 63 games with Long Beach last season, he posted 31 points (15 goals, 16 assists) and 14 penalty minutes.

Hamilton's next action will take place on Thursday, December 22, when they travel to Cleveland to face the Barons. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The Bulldogs next home game will take place on Friday, December 23, when the Rochester Americans visit Copps Coliseum. Game time is 7:30 p.m. This game can be seen live on Hamilton's Cable 14.
