Rivermen and Blues swap goalies

Peoria, IL (December 19, 2005) - St. Louis Blues Senior Vice-president and General Manager Larry Pleau announced today that the club has recalled goaltender Reinhard Divis (DEE-vihs) from its American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen. Pleau also announced the reassignment of netminder Chris Beckford-Tseu from the Blues to the Rivermen.
Divis, 30, has seen action in both the National Hockey League (NHL) and the AHL this season. He began this campaign in the NHL with the Blues, appearing in five games and posting a 0-2-0 record with a 4.93 goals-against average and an .845 save percentage. In nine games played for the Rivermen so far this season, Divis owns a 2-5-1 record, a 3.20 goals-against average, and an .886 save percentage. A native of Vienna, Austria, Divis was St. Louis' 8th choice, 261st overall, in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
Beckford-Tseu, 21, has played at the AHL and ECHL levels so far this season. He appeared in one AHL game for Peoria on Friday, November 11, versus Toronto, turning aside all three shots that he faced in 6:13 of action. In 11 games played for the ECHL Alaska Aces, the Toronto product has compiled a 9-0-2 record, a 1.96 goals-against average, and a .927 save percentage. The Blues selected Beckford-Tseu in the fifth round, 159th overall, of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
The Rivermen are a proud new member of the AHL. Founded in 1936, the AHL now serves as the primary development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams and is celebrating its 70th anniversary season in 2005-06.
