
Kalamazoo to Begin Playoffs on the Road

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL, two-time defending North Division Champions, reigning Eastern Conference Champions and National Hockey League affiliate to the Vancouver Canucks and New Jersey Devils and American Hockey League's Albany Devils, announce the team has elected to play the first two games of next week's Best-of-Five Eastern Conference Quarterfinals on the road.
Although the K-Wings first round opponent will not be determined until this Saturday, March 31st, the final day of the ECHL regular season, the K-Wings do know that they will begin defense of their ECHL Eastern Conference crown next week on the road. Game one will be played at the first round opponent's arena on either Monday, April 2nd or Tuesday, April 3rd followed by game two on Wednesday April 4th.
Then, games three, four and five of the round one series will shift back to Wings Stadium. The K-Wings will host game three on Friday, April 6th. Game four, if necessary will be at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 7th. And, should a decisive Game five be played, that will take place on Monday, April 9th at 7 p.m.
As of today, the K-Wings could still face one of five opponents (Chicago, Cincinnati, Florida, Reading, South Carolina or Wheeling) in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.
Tickets for the K-Wings round one playoff games are $16.05 and $19.95 for adults, $15.05 for seniors (62 years and older) and military (with proper ID) and only $10.05 for kids ages 12 and under. Fans can save money by purchasing K-Wings single game tickets in advance because tickets purchased on the day of a game increase by $1.
