K-Wings Team Awards Announced

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL, three-time defending North Division Champions and National Hockey League affiliate to the Vancouver Canucks, and American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves announce the recipients of the 2012-2013 K-Wings Team Awards.
The awards were presented following the K-Wings home game tonight versus the Fort Wayne Komets at Wings Stadium.
The following were the awards and the recipients of the K-Wings Awards Ceremony:
Booster Club Appreciation Award: Elgin Reid
Otten Trophies Star of the Game Award: Joel Martin
McDonald's Leading Scorer Award: Aaron Clarke
Meijer Most Improved Player Award: John Armstrong
Pepsi Sportsmanship Award: Sam Ftorek
Kalsee Credit Union Unsung Hero Award: Kyle Page
Harold Zeigler Automotive Group Defenseman of the Year Award: Elgin Reid
Consumers Credit Union Rookie of the Year Award: Alexandre Grenier
WZUU Most Popular Player Award: Joel Martin
Kalamazoo Gazette/ MLive MVP Award: Joel Martin
Statistical awards are decided by the player stats at the end of the regular season, while all other awards were decided by fan voting. The KOHA Plus/Minus Award will be handed out following the regular season.
Season tickets for the K-Wings 2013-14 season are available now by calling (269) 743-6011 or by stopping by Wings Stadium Ticket Office. Ticket Office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
