Reign Will Face Grizzlies in 1st Round of Playoffs

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign (45-18-3-4), back-to-back Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, announced that they will face the Utah Grizzlies (28-30-4-9) in the first round of the 2013 Kelly Cup Playoffs.
The Grizzlies will visit the Reign first to start out the series at Citizens Business Bank Arena on Tuesday, April 2 and again on Wednesday, April 3. The next three games of the best of seven series will be played in Utah. If necessary, games six and seven will be played on the Reign's home ice.

The Reign, who rank third in the ECHL, have led their season series against the Grizzlies with a 3-1-0-1 record; Utah ranks 18th in the league as the seventh seed.
This is Ontario's third post-season appearance in five seasons; all of which the Reign entered the playoffs as the Pacific Division Champions. The Reign have yet to break through the first round of the playoffs but after being the first team in the ECHL to clinch a playoff spot and in record time, the team is hoping this is the year to go all the way to the Kelly Cup finals!
