TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: After a season-long six game road trip, the Cyclones are finally back home to close out their 2012-13 regular season with two games against the Evansville IceMen. Cincinnati has gone 7-3-1 against their Hoosier State rivals this year - with five of those victories coming at 100 Broadway. They've outscored the IceMen 47-33 in the season series.
TONIGHT'S PROMOTION: CINCY'S LARGEST FISH FRY / $1 BEERS - Celebrate the final Friday of Lent with the city's largest fish fry! Plus, fans 21+ can enjoy $1 PBR and Miller High Life all night long!
SCOUTING THE ICEMEN: Rich Kromm's club has struggled mightily down the stretch, winning just two games so far in the month of March. With Todd Robinson leaving the team, Dylan Clarke is Evansville's leading scorer - posting 48 points (23 goals, 25 assists) in 64 games; eight of his tallies have come against the Cyclones. With Paul Karpowich and Paul Dainton still in the AHL, James Reid will get the start this weekend for the IceMen. So far in 13 ECHL games this season, he has gone 3-8-0-1 with a 4.21 goals-against average.
Deuces Wild: When the Cyclones are able to find the early offense, they have been nearly unbeatable. They are 32-9-1-1 when scoring the game's first goal (a 76.7 winning percentage) and are a perfect 18-0 when notching the first pair of goals.
Keepin' Your Enemies Close: This season has been filled with closely contested battles. Coming into the final weekend, Cincinnati has played 50 of their 70 games that were decided by two goals or less, going 27-15-5-3 in such situations.
Eastern Conference Playoff Race: As of today, here's how things shape up in the "East." While this year's field has been officially decided, the order is still up for grabs: The Cyclones will be the second seed and will face whichever team finishes in seventh.
