ELMIRA, N.Y. - March 29, 2013 - The Elmira Jackals' final home game of the season is an Atlantic Division tilt against the red-hot Trenton Titans. Elmira is looking to snap its two game losing streak and keep Trenton from winning its fifth in a row.
WHO: Elmira Jackals - Ottawa/NHL & Binghamton/AHL (38-25-7) vs. Trenton Titans - Philadelphia/NHL and Adirondack/AHL (31-31-8).

The Jackals are facing the Titans tonight for the 16th, and final, time this season and eighth of eight at First Arena. The Jackals are 9-5-1 against Trenton this season which includes a 4-3-0 mark at home. The Jackals and Titans have played a wildly unpredictable season series that has featured a bevy of high-scoring games. The winner of the last three meetings has scored at least six goals, and the teams have combined to average 7.8 goals per game in their 15 prior meetings. Even though Trenton's six wins against Elmira are more than every team except for one (Reading, 9), the Jackals have not lost back-to-back games against the Titans this season. They also haven't lost two in a row at home in regulation since Dec. 7-8.
After Elmira's loss and Florida's win on Wednesday night the Jackals find themselves in fifth in the conference. The Jackals will need to win out and have Florida lose one of its two remaining games in regulation to move back into fourth place. If Florida wins out and Gwinnett losses its last game on Saturday, that would set up Elmira vs. Gwinnett in the first round. Elmira needs to win one of its final two games to ensure that South Carolina cannot move past sixth in the conference standings.
