TONIGHT:

The Ontario Reign (45-18-3-4 - points) begin their first game of a two-game homestand against the Alaska Aces (48-15-3-4=103 points) to finish out the regular season. This season the Reign are 2-2-1-1 against the Aces

The Reign are 23-7-2-2 at home this season with a current record of 0-1-0-0. The Aces are 22-7-1-4 on the road and are on a 2-game winning streak.

HOW THEY RANK:

The Reign clinched the Pacific Division on Mar. 10 with a win over the Bakersfield Condors. Ontario ranks second in the Western Conference and third in the league with 97 points trailing the Aces by 6 points. With Alaska clinching the Brabham Cup, the Reign will hold on to the second seed for the Kelly Cup Playoffs, the Aces with the 1st seed.

SEASON SERIES BY THE BOOKS:

This season both teams have only managed two power-play goals apiece against each other. The Reign are 2 for 26 on the power-play, the Aces are 2 for 20. Alaska has outscored Ontario 16-13 with four of their six games being one-goal contests, and three of the six games being decided in extra frames - one overtime game and two shootout games. Needless to say these two teams have topped the league throughout the season for a reason and are always a great match.

ECHL HONORS:

Rookies Mario Lamoureux and Cameron Burt were named to the All-ECHL Rookie Team earlier this week. Lamoureux is the leading rookie scorer with 63 points; he is second in goals with 25 and second in assists with 38. Burt, a natural forward, ranks third in rookie assists, and second in all defensemen with 36 helpers on the seasons.

Kyle Kraemer and Colton Yellow Horn were also honored this week being named to the All-ECHL Second Team. Kraemer leads the Reign with 71 points (30g, 41a) and is second with a +26. Even after missing 22 games, Yellow Horn's 36 goals still ties for the league-lead. In 48 games, he earned 58 points including 15 multi-point games, and a league-leading, and team record setting, 10 game-winning goals.
