Jets Re-Assign Redmond & O'Dell to IceCaps

The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have re-assigned defenceman Zach Redmond and forward Eric O'Dell to the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League.

Redmond, 25, has played in three games with the Winnipeg Jets so far this season. He will return to the IceCaps where he has appeared in 17 games this campaign for 12 points (5G, 7A) and 14 penalty minutes. The right-handed defenceman has played in 11 career NHL games, all with Winnipeg, for four career points (1G, 3A) and 12 career penalty minutes. He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the seventh round, 184th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

O'Dell, 23, made his NHL debut with the Jets this season on Dec. 17/13. In his 13 games with the club this campaign, O'Dell has recorded three points (2G, 1A) and eight penalty minutes. He returns to the IceCaps where he has played in 28 games this season for 29 points (12G, 17A) and 20 penalty minutes. The Ottawa, ON native was originally drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the second round, 29th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
