IceCaps Sign Beskorowany to PTO

The St. John's IceCaps announced they have signed goaltender Tyler Beskorowany (behs-cohr-WAH-nee) to a professional tryout contract.

Beskorowany, 23, played in 32 games this season for the San Francisco Bulls of the ECHL, going 14-13-3 with a 3.37 goals-against average and a .899 save percentage. The 6'5" netminder spent last season with the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads, compiling a 17-12-3 record with a 2.78 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage.

The Sudbury, Ontario native has suited up in 51 career AHL games, all with the Texas Stars, compiling a 17-27-1 record with a 3.10 goals-against average and a .899 save percentage.

He was originally drafted by the Dallas Stars in the second round (59th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
