IronPigs Try to Sweep Wings

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will go for the sweep of the Rochester Red Wings on Monday night at Frontier Field. First pitch of the series finale is slated for 7:05 p.m.

LHP Anthony Vasquez (4-3, 4.96) takes the mound for the Pigs on Monday night. Vasquez got the win vs. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday after giving up seven runs on eight hits while walking three and fanning two over five innings of work. The southpaw is 1-2 with a 10.20 ERA in his last 3 GS and will be looking to bounce back when he faces the Red Wings for the first time this season.

LHP Pat Dean (6-7, 3.11) will be on the bump for manager Mike Quade's squad. On Wednesday vs. Pawtucket, Dean got the win as he surrendered three runs (two earned) on five hits to go along with three walks and three strikeouts in 5.1 IP. The Boston College product will be making his second start of the year against Lehigh Valley. Back on May 16, Dean gave up four runs on nine hits over six innings and was tagged with the loss.

Over his last 25 G, Pigs INF/OF Russ Canzler is hitting .313-3-17 with nine doubles, a triple, five walks and 12 runs scored in that time. Canzler has hit safely in 19 of those 25 contests.
