Bats Drop Final Game at Victory Field, 3-0

INDIANAPOLIS, In - The Louisville Bats (41-44) dropped the final game of the series, 3-0 at Victory Field to the Indianapolis Indians (51-34).

The Bats and Indians went five and a half innings of scoreless baseball before the Indians scored two runs from an RBI double by Elias Diaz.

The right-hander Matt Buschmann exited the game after Indianapolis scored two in the sixth. Buschmann (L, 7-6, 3.86) went five and two thirds of an inning, giving up six hits, two earned runs, walked five and struck out four. The lefty Joe Paterson came on in relief to end the inning.

The right-hander for Indianapolis, Radhames Liz (W, 2-1, 0.44) went six innings before leaving, he gave up just three hits, no runs, walked a batter and struck out eight. Coming on in relief in the seventh was righty Josh Wall.

The Indians tacked on their final run in the bottom of the seventh after Bats' righty, Collin Balester replaced Paterson on the mound. Right-hander, Jeff Inman earned the save for the Indians, his first of the season.

The Indians will come to Louisville tomorrow to continue the split series at 7:05 p.m. Starting for the Bats is lefty Tony Cingrani (0-0,0.00) making another MLB rehab appearance. The Indians will send righty Wilfredo Boscan (6-3, 3.89) to the mound.
