Aberdeen dropped the rubber match to the Connecticut Tigers, 3-2 on Wednesday night. The IronBirds could only muster up three hits in the series finale, despite keeping the game close.

The Tigers jumped to an early, 1-0 lead in the first inning. Brett Pirtle hit a single to bring home Victor Pardon, who had singled to lead off the contest.
Doubling Up
A.J. Simcox made it a 2-0 game in the fourth with an RBI double. Simcox lined a ball down the right field line for two bases, scoring Tanner Donnels from second.
One at a Time
Steve Laurino brought the IronBirds within one in the bottom of the inning with an RBI single. Laurino lined a pitch to left field for Aberdeen's first hit, allowing DJ Stewart to cross the plate.
If you "Will"
With two outs, Will Allen pushed the lead back to two runs for the Tigers, knocking in Corey Baptist with a base hit to right. Baptist had reached on an error earlier in the frame.
Fighting Back
IronBirds kept swinging, landing themselves a run in the seventh. Ricardo Andujar's bloop single to shallow right was good enough to plate Laurino, making it 3-2.
