
Ice Dogs Retain WCHL's All-Rookie Attard

Long Beach Ice Dogs News Release
LONG BEACH, Calif. â The Long Beach Ice Dogs announced today that the West Coast Hockey League club has signed the League's All-Rookie forward Jeff Attard to a one-year deal. As per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Attard, 23, played 52 games with the Ice Dogs last season, recording 11 goals and 20 assists, totaling 31 points in his first professional campaign. He was named to the 2001-02 All-Rookie Team in April. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound London, Ontario native recorded eight multiple-point games, including two game-winning goals, and logged a +11 plus/minus rating.
The Ice Dogs centerman is the eighth protected player that is expected to be at training camp.
