Falcons Hockey School Starts Monday

FRESNO, Calif. – The Taylor Cup Champion Fresno Falcons will hold their inaugural hockey school next Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26, at Gateway Ice Center. Kids ages 5 – 18 will participate in both on and off-ice activities from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day at a cost of $275 per camper. Adult sessions are exclusively on-ice and are scheduled for three evenings next week at a cost of $100.

Along with two on-ice sessions per day for three skill levels of kids, the registration price includes off-ice conditioning and games, video sessions, lunch each day, a camp jersey, special giveaway items, a Falcons team photo, and a certificate of participation. Taylor Cup Playoff MVP Kris Porter, Greg Spenrath, and goaltender Terry Friesen are all part of the nine Falcons players participating as instructors at the school. Falcons head coach and general manager Blaine Moore will make an appearance as well.

Adults will be on the ice Monday, Tuesday, and Friday evenings of next week. In addition to a total of four hours of ice time, the registration fee includes two on-ice sessions at a time to be determined during the Falcons' upcoming 2002-2003 season.

Local businesses that have donated resources to the hockey school include Gateway Ice Center, All Pro Hockey and Sport, Pepsi, PCH Subs, Pacifica Pizza, and Kinko's River Park.
