Bombers Announce Schedule

The 2002 Northern Conference Playoff Champion Dayton Bombers have announced their 2002-2003 East Coast Hockey League schedule. The Bombers 2002-2003 home schedule sways heavily toward weekend competition, with 34 of 36 dates earmarked for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

The Dayton Bombers will continue their intense rivalry against their I-75 rivals, the Cincinnati Cyclones, in the form of 11 head-to-head meetings, six at the Ervin J. Nutter Center. The Bombers will also welcome another nearby contender, the new Lexington ECHL franchise that is set to begin play in October. The Bombers will compete against the Lexington team a total of ten times, six at the Ervin J. Nutter Center.

Other highlights of the Dayton Bombers 2002-2003 schedule include ten meetings against the Toledo Storm (coached by onetime Bombers bench boss Claude Noel), nine meetings apiece against Northwest Division foes Peoria and Johnstown, five against the Bombers' 2002 Northern Conference Playoff Championship opponent Atlantic City, and four meetings against two-time Northeast Division regular season titlist Trenton.
