Nailers 2002-2003 Schedule Released

Wheeling, WV – The Wheeling Nailers have released their 2002-2003 schedule. The complete schedule will follow.

The Wheeling Nailers will open the season with two games on the road, Friday, October 11th in Cincinnati, and Saturday, October 12th in Dayton. The Wheeling Nailers home opener will be Sunday, October 13th against the Cincinnati Cyclones.

The Nailers will be home for the traditional Thanksgiving game on Thursday, November 28th against the Johnstown Chiefs. The annual New Year's Eve game is also on this season's home schedule on Tuesday, December 31st against Lexington, Kentucky, formerly the Macon Whoppee. Other than two holidays (Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve), the Wheeling Nailers home schedule will consist of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday games only.

The Nailers will also be playing two home games at First Union Arena, home of the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins. Those games will be Sunday, October 27th versus the Reading Royals and Saturday, March 8th versus the Trenton Titans. All full season ticket holders will receive free tickets to both games in Wilkes-Barre.

Two Southern Conference Teams will make a visit to the Hammerdome this season. The Nailers will host the Augusta Lynx on January 31 and the Mississippi Sea Wolves on February 1.

The Wheeling Nailers will play the Johnstown Chiefs in back to back exhibition games. The Nailers will host the Chiefs on Friday, October 4th at 7:30 pm at Iceoplex in Southpointe. The Nailers will then travel to Johnstown for another exhibition game on Saturday, October 5th.
