
I-Cubs Secure Shutout Win as Ballesteros Blasts First Triple-A Homer

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Iowa Cubs (32-40) defeated the Indianapolis Indians (31-39), 1-0, on Thursday at Victory Field.
Moises Ballesteros continued his early success at the Triple-A level, scoring the only run of the game with his first Triple-A homer to lead off the top of the second. In his first three games as an I-Cub, Ballesteros is 6-for-12 with a home run, and a double.
The Iowa pitching trio of Trey Supak, Ethan Roberts, and Hunter Bigge combined to blank the Indians for the I-Cubs' fourth shutout victory of the year.
Supak, making his I-Cub debut, tossed 6 innings of five-hit ball, with one strikeout and one walk.
Roberts and Bigge teamed up for three no-hit innings. Roberts worked 1.2 frames with three strikeouts, and Biggie picked up the four-out save, allowing a walk.
Roberts has yet to give up an earned run this season, at any level. He made two rehab appearances, one in the Arizona Complex League, and one in Double-A Tennessee, before coming to the I-Cubs. He has thrown 11.1 innings in 11 appearances for Iowa.
Bigge is now 2-for-2 in save opportunities.
