Houston Rockets Sign Chris Chiozza to 10-Day Contract

It was announced today that the Houston Rockets signed Go-Go guard Chris Chiozza to a 10-Day Contract.

Prior to the All-Star Break, Chiozza had started in all 36 games for Capital City, averaging 13.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game while shooting 41.5 percent from three. The rookie from Florida led the Go-Go in assists with 237 and was the team-lead in assists in 27-of-36 games. He also tallied three-consecutive 20-plus-point games from Jan. 10-15, including his first 30-point game of the season.

In the month of February, Chiozza averaged 17.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 8.3 assists while shooting 49.3 percent from the field and 46.9 percent from three, and made the game-winning shot against the Delaware Blue Coats with 2.6 seconds remaining in the game to close out the pre-All-Star Break slate.

Chiozza was selected to participate in the FIBA World Cup Qualifying training camp and games from Feb. 15-25 but will forgo that opportunity as a member of the Rockets.
