Rochester, MN - The Rochester Honkers enter its game with the Willmar Stingers on Friday, July 26, with 699 wins in its 20-year history and will try to become the first team in Northwoods League history with 700 all-time wins.

The Honkers were the first team to reach the 600-win plateau in 2010. This season, they have been joined by Waterloo, Wisconsin, and St. Cloud. Waterloo currently sits in second with 639 wins.

Rochester's best season came in 2006-one of the six 40-win seasons in franchise history,--when the team went 50-17 in the regular season and eventually won its fourth, of five, Northwoods League Championships. The 50 regular season wins also stands as the Northwoods League record for most wins in a single season.

Tonight's game at Bill Taunton Stadium in Willmar, MN is scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m. All-Star Matt Kent (Texas A&M) is slated to start for Rochester (3-16, 21-33.) Andrew Woeck (North Carolina State) is scheduled to start for Willmar (8-10, 31-22.) The Honkers will return home to Mayo Field to host the Stingers on Saturday, July 27, at 7:05 p.m.
