Madison, Wisc - The Battle Creek Bombers (6-14) left 15 men on base in a 4-3 loss to the Madison Mallards (14-7) .

Battle Creek jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the second. Newcomer Jared Foster used his feet to manufacture the run. Foster looked good in his Battle Creek debut, reaching base twice. Madison answered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth off Bombers started Keegan Yuhl . Yuhl went five innings for the Bombers and stuck out three.

The Bombers tied the game up at two in the fifth. Joe Serrano singled home Greg Velazquez. Battle Creek took the lead right back in the sixth thanks to a bases loaded walk by Tyler Moore in his first game back with the Bombers. After a 42 minuet rain-delay, the Mallards plated two runs in the bottom of the seventh off Todd Eaton (L 2-5) . Battle Creek would load the bases in the ninth inning off Danny Sullivan (S 4), but they were unable to push a run across.

Taylore Cherry started for Madison giving them five strong innings and striking out three. Kirstian Calibuso (W 3-1) worked an inning of relief.
