Stockton Heat News Release
STOCKTON, Calif. - Juuso Valimaki's highlight-reel goal was the lone tally of the game for the home team as the Tucson Roadrunners bested Stockton in a defensive battle by a 3-1 final score Friday night at Stockton Arena. The Roadrunners got the early advantage, Robbie Russo's sixth goal of the season near the halfway point of the first before Valimaki pulled Stockton back even in the second. Lane Pederson's goal 10 minutes later proved to be the game-winner before he added an assist on Michael Bunting's empty-netter that sealed the deal. Jon Gillies had yet another strong performance between the pipes, turning away 30 of 32 shots faced on the night.
