Mississippi Sea Wolves News Release

BILOXI, MS - Mike Hartwick earned his first professional point, scoring the game-winning goal for Mississippi on a shot through traffic from the right point as the Mississippi Sea Wolves defeated the Columbia Inferno 4-2 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Saturday night.

Columbia got on the board first when Jeff Miles found the back of the Sea Wolves net with a shot from the right wing that beat Sea Wolves goaltender Ryan Munce on the glove side at 11:50 of the first period.

The Sea Wolves stormed back in the second period, evening the score at one apiece when Ryan Menei blasted the rebound of Jason Tejchma's shot past Columbia's Todd Ford at 3:26. Less than two minutes later, Travis Lisabeth scored his second goal in as many games, tucking the puck under Ford to give the Sea Wolves a 2-1 lead at the 5:05 mark. At 16:44 of the third period, Lisabeth recovered Chase Trull's blocked shot and slid it back to Hartwick, who fired through traffic and found the net for the game-winner at 16:44. The goal was Hartwick's first professional point in 31 games this season.

The Inferno cut the lead to one when Daniel Sparre chipped in a rebound on the power play for his 19th goal of the season just 55 seconds into the third period. Mississippi held on to the lead until Gio Flamminio fired into the empty net at the 19:59 mark to seal the victory for the Pack.

The Sea Wolves were 0-for-6 on the power play, and Ryan Munce made 26 saves to earn his 13th win of the season.
