Brodeur and Hobson Return to Ice Pilots

AUGUSTA, GA - The Pensacola Ice Pilots have announced that goaltender Mike Brodeur and forward Adam Hobson have been reassigned by the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks to the Ice Pilots. Both players return from the AHL affiliate Rockford IceHogs.

Brodeur who was recalled to Rockford on December 10, played in two games with the IceHogs starting both and earning the victory in a 4-2 win at Peoria on December 29. He played 80 minutes, going 1-0-0 with a 2.25 GAA and a 0.944 save percentage. The 24 year old native of Calgary, AB appeared in 12 games with Pensacola this season, going 2-6-2 with a 3.49 GAA, a 0.904 save percentage and a shut out. The blanking came in a 2-0 victory against Reading on October 26.

Hobson had a short two game stint with the Ice Pilots in October, recording 14 penalty minutes. The 21 year old rookie spent the majority of the season with the AHL club Rockford, playing in 25 games and accumulating 5 points (1g-4a) with 36 penalty minutes. His first pro goal came in a 4-3 win at Peoria on December 26.

Brodeur will wear number 35 while Hobson will dress as number 16.
