The Grizzlies began a two-game series against Houston on Friday. Six different Grizzlies found the net as Utah shot down the Aeros with a 6-1 victory. Utah's Jarrod Skalde and Jeff MacMillan both contributed a goal and two assists while goaltender Jason Bacashihua stopped 38 shots.

The Grizzlies came out with an offensive mindset scoring three times in the first period. The first goal came off the stick of Bubba Berenzweig at the 3:34 mark, Jarrod Skalde with the assist on the powerplay. Skalde contributed another assist at 8:42 of the first period on another powerplay when he sent a perfect pass across the net to a wide open Jeff MacMillan who notched his first goal of the season. Eric Schneider also found his first goal on the season sending another puck past Aeros netminder Kyle Kettles at the 15:39 mark as the Grizzlies took the early 3-0 lead.

Houston finally found their offense 2:56 into the second period with a goal from Marc Cavosie. Houston would eventually outshoot the Grizzlies 39-31. However, Utah continued to roll with two second-period goals against Houston's Kettles.

David Gove netted his second goal of the season at the 10:27 mark and at 12:43 Skalde continued his offensive attack scoring the Grizzlies' fifth goal and his third point on the night. The Grizzlies led 5-1 at the second intermission. Utah maintained the aggressive offense into the third period. Justin Cox netted the final goal of the game at the 4:33 mark as the Grizzlies extended their lead to 6-1.

Houston's Kettles would finish the losing effort with 25 saves.

After such a dominant performance on Friday, the Utah Grizzlies fell to the Aeros 4-1 at the E-Center Saturday. Houston collected four scores in the first twenty-four minutes and held on for the victory in front of a crowd of 4,215.

Like the Grizzlies Friday night, Houston collected three first period scores. The first came from Jason Marshall who found the net at the 11:05 mark. Marshall assisted Houston's next two scores, both on the powerplay. Erik Reitz scored for Houston at 13:33 and Matt Foy gave Houston a 3-0 lead just two minutes later at the 15:55 mark.

Grizzlies goaltender Jason Bacashihua was relieved by Mike Smith after the third goal. The Grizzlies finally got on the board when Gerard Dicaire scored his first professional goal at 1:29 of the second period. However, it only took two minutes for the Aeros to answer as Stephane Veilleux found the net at the 3:29 mark, collecting Houston's final goal.

Houston's netminder Johan Homqvist finished the game with 18 saves.

The Grizzlies traveled to San Antonio Sunday to meet the Rampage. The Rampage would erupt for four third-period scores in a 6-3 victory at the SBC Center to get the victory.

San Antonio got off to a quick start scoring the game's first two goals in the first seven minutes of the contest. Lee Goren redirected a Michel Periard point shot past Mike Smith for a power play goal, Goren's third goal of the season. San Antonio would add a second first period goal when Eric Beaudoin made contact with Smith and directed the puck into the empty net all in one motion. The Grizzlies countered the two-goal deficit with a power play goal of their own scored by Rob Valicevic, his first goal of the season, assisted by Dylan Gyori and Trevor Daley. Utah trailed 2-1 after 20 minutes.

Utah would dominate the second period outshooting San Antonio 9-3 and putting the only goal of the period on the board at the 15:27 mark on another man advantage scored by Steve Gainey assisted by Jarrod Skalde and Daley. The third period would see the Grizzlies unravel. San Antonio scored four third-period goals, three of which came in a five minute stretch scored by Vaclav Nedorost, Josh Olson and Juraj Kolnik. With the score 5-2, Barrett Heisten scored his second of the season bringing Utah within two goals once again but Beaudoin would score his second of the night putting the nail in the Grizzlies coffin.
