Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the Lowell Lock Monsters (AHL) have recalled forward Garrett Bembridge and the Utah Grizzlies (AHL) have assigned forward Eric Schneider.
"Schneider is a guy who can play in the AHL any given day of the week", said Wranglers Head Coach/ General Manager Glen Gulutzan. "We are very fortunate to have him here. He will bring a lot of scoring punch and speed to our line-up. Eric is a quality guy that will fit well into our plan here in Las Vegas."
Eric Schneider, 26, joins the Wranglers after spending eight games with the Utah Grizzlies of the AHL. During his span with the Grizzlies, Schneider posted one goal and three assists for four points, with nine penalty minutes. The Calgary, ALTA native has played in 131 games in the ECHL scoring 71 goals and assisting on 80 others for 151 points. For his career, Schneider has played in 273 games with 136 goals and 164 assists for 300 points. Last season, Schneider played in Laredo of the CHL, racking up 38 goals and 43 assists for 81 points in 44 games. Both seasons Schneider played in the ECHL he suited up for the Johnstown Chiefs posting over 30 goals and 70 points.
Bembridge leaves the Wranglers after posting four goals and three assists for seven points in 12 games. Bembridge had a team-high 44 shots at the time of his recall. Bembridge was assigned by the Lock Monsters on October 15th, 2003. The 22-year-old joins former Wranglers (D) Deryk Engelland and (G) Brent Krahn.
The Wranglers return home from a seven game road trip on Friday, November 28th at 7:05 against the Alaska Aces. The first 1,000 fans through the gates of the Orleans Arena will receive a Mullet wig.
