Game Rewind The K-Wings were in action twice last week, as they played a home and home series against the Muskegon Fury. The two game series started Friday (11/7) night in Kalamazoo. The K-Wings defense was stingy as they allowed only 18 shots by Muskegon; however the Fury would take full advantage of their scoring opportunities to defeat the K-Wings 3-0 in front of a crowd 4,381 at Wings Stadium. The Fury were led by Brent Blackned, who netted a natural hat trick (4,5,6) and Sylvain Daigle, who stopped 30 shots to record his first shutout of the season.

The K-Wings and the Fury returned to Muskegon the following night (11/8) as the two teams battled at the L.C. Walker Arena. Kalamazoo jumped out to an early 2-0 nothing lead, as Tim Turner (1) and Ryan Priem (1) each scored their first goal's of their professional career in the opening period. Muskegon cut the K-Wings lead to 2-1 with just three minutes to play in the first period, when Billy Pugliese (1) scored on the power play. Kalamazoo extended their lead in the second period, when Jeff Turner (3) scored the period's lone goal on a breakaway 4:18 into the period. The K-Wings put the game out of reach during the beginning stages of the third period. First it was Marty Flichel (3) that scored on a wrist shot from the left circle to extend Kalamazoo's lead to 4-2. From there it was defenseman Guy Dupuis that intercepted a pass in the K-Wings zone and went the length of the ice to score his first of the season to put the K-Wings up 5-2. After Pugliese scored his second power play goal of the game for Muskegon, the K-Wings would answer right back with a goal from Yannick Carpentier (1). That goal from Carpentier capped off a three-point night for him, as the K-Wings defeated Muskegon 6-2.
